Amanda Villas will soon provide Cudahy’s low-income seniors with high-quality, affordable housing uniquely paired with a state-of-the-art health center offering medical, dental and behavioral health services to residents and their neighbors.
Construction – launched with a groundbreaking celebration on Sept. 24 – is expected to run through mid-2028.
Cudahy is one of California’s most densely populated communities, with a poverty rate more than double the state average and where 88% of residents rent their homes. Each year, more seniors in the city face poverty and housing insecurity. Amanda Villas was created to address these challenges, serving older adults earning under 50% of the area median income. Sixty-nine apartments will be reserved as permanent supportive housing for seniors who have experienced homelessness.
