On June 18, National CORE celebrated the grand reopening of Corona del Rey and Corona de Oro, two revitalized affordable housing communities in the heart of Corona. Sweeping renovations have breathed new life into the properties – reaffirming our long-term commitment to residents and to the lasting value of affordable housing.

Community leaders, elected officials, company officials and residents gathered at the Corona del Rey and Corona de Oro affordable housing communities in Corona, touring upgraded apartments and reviewing the many community improvements. Children got in on the fun too – thanks to soccer demos led by professional players from the Empire Strykers.

Alexa Washburn, chief development officer, and Chris Killian, senior vice president of construction, represented National CORE. They were joined by City of Corona Housing & Homeless Solutions Manager Karen Roper, City of Corona Mayor Jim Steiner, Association for Energy Affordability Research Manager G.G. Merkel and representatives from the offices of Riverside County Supervisor Karen Spiegel and Senator Sabrina Cervantes.
