For National CORE and Hope through Housing employees – our philanthropic ways don’t stop and start during our office hours: we’re constantly looking for more ways to help others!
CORE’s Hope – our San Diego-based volunteer group – participated in the Allgire Foundation’s 2025 Spring Harvest, a food bag assembly event at the organization’s Carlsbad campus. Our team, along with more than 450 volunteers, helped assemble more than 18,000 bags of food on March 22 for residents living in affordable housing communities across San Diego.
The Allgire Foundation, which is the nonprofit wing of Allgire General Construction, focuses on providing housing assistance, education and community support. The Allgire Foundation provided move in baskets of housewares, hygiene products and other toiletries to all of our Santa Fe Senior Village residents in Vista.
National CORE Vice President John Seymour and Hope through Housing Regional Director Stephanie De La Torre have participated in the Spring Harvest since 2022, after being introduced to the foundation by National CORE Vice President of Construction Patrick Meredith. This was the first year they’ve participated with a full team of CORE/Hope employees.
“Many hands made light work,” Stephanie said. “The members of CORE’s Hope all love volunteering, and we all wore our CORE/Hope gear to show off our company pride while doing something good for the community.”
A special thank you to John Seymour, Stephanie De La Torre, Patrick Meredith, Steve Estrada, Cesar Pacheco, Bradley Whisenhunt and Abraham Abrams for participating in this event!
