Hope through Housing and National CORE have launched the first cohort of 2025 for their CORE Academy hands-on training program in property management and property maintenance.
The program equips individuals with limited or no previous experience for entry-level employment in the growing residential services fields. It is offered at no cost to participants thanks to a grant from the County of San Bernardino.
Nearly 20 students attended the first class in the property management track, held Jan. 30 at the Ontario Airport Hotel. The property management course focuses on skills for leasing and managing the needs of residents of multifamily housing communities.
The property maintenance track is scheduled to begin its first cohort starting Feb. 12.
The programs are taught by National CORE’s Learning & Development staff and guided by our 30+ years of property management and maintenance experience. They are part of a broader Hope through Housing program designed to help lift residents out of poverty.
The CORE Academy team expects to teach four cohorts in 2025 for the program, which launched in 2022. Efforts are also underway to add additional disciplines, including hospitality.
