More than 100 resident services technicians from across California, Texas and Florida threw strikes (and some gutter balls), shot pool and laughed with friends during National CORE’s annual CORE Wars celebration at Big Al’s in Ontario.

CORE Wars, started in 2015, is an annual celebration of our RSTs for their hard work in keeping National CORE’s many properties functioning and beautiful. Over the years, CORE Wars has expanded from a simple barbecue and baseball game outing to become a day-long event with raffle prizes, bonuses and awards for excellence.  (Let’s talk about this)

“I am so proud to be a part of this team,” said Dorrie Bryan, senior vice president of operations, who emceed the event. “I can’t thank our RSTs enough for what they do every day for our residents.”

RST Joshua Barnes, who has been with National CORE for two years, said he loves the company culture and that he looks forward to CORE Wars each year. Joshua scored big, winning second place in the bowling tournament.

“National CORE is an excellent company to work for – I love the fact that they do things for people who need low-income housing and that everything we do is in-house from construction to property management and maintenance,” Joshua said. “I’ve never been employed at another company that would set aside a whole day to thank its employees with a day of fun. It’s always a great experience.”
