Property Management’s Strike Team is an unstoppable force – a proactive group of individuals committed to creating a welcoming environment for staff and residents alike.
The group is made up of experts in affordable housing programs, such as recertifications and lease-ups. It includes Rubi Aguilera, Tamera Finnie, Sharon Moore-Brown and Candy Milner. Courtney Richard, senior vice president of property management, leads the team.
“We’re here to help,” Rubi said. “We want the property teams to know that we are there to support them with whatever they need.”
The Strike Team grew from a need within the department to address the rapid addition of new properties to National CORE’s portfolio and to ease the impact of staff changes. Established in October 2023, team members divide their time between the corporate office and the properties. They support property management teams across the portfolio in addition to tackling special projects to improve property performance.
So far, the Strike Team has aided with the 456 West lease-up process, tackled recertifications at Northgate Village, bridged staffing gaps at Alta Vista and filled vacancies at Renaissance Village.
“The team’s creation has not only addressed the immediate needs of the properties but also has ensured a more sustainable and resilient approach to property management,” Courtney said. “The Strike Team understands the importance of meeting deadlines and consistently ensures that their work is completed on time and to the highest standard.”
Since the team’s establishment, data has shown a significant increase in efficiency at the properties – making certain that National CORE is doing its part in making housing affordable, stable and secure.
Go Team!
