What an incredible day of camaraderie and generosity we experienced on Nov. 6 at the Glendora Country Club for our inaugural Swing for Hope Golf Classic!
With more than 120 enthusiastic golfers, the day was filled with sunshine, competitive spirit and unwavering support for a cause close to our hearts. Golfers engaged in spirited competition on the course, while also contributing through auction bids and showcasing their skills in putting, chipping and long drives. And let’s not forget the breathtaking helicopter ball drop that added an extra thrill to the event!
I’m delighted to share that our collective efforts during this day of fun and sportsmanship resulted in an astounding achievement – $100,000 raised for the Hope through Housing Foundation’s Building Bright Futures initiative. This initiative provides vital after-school programs for children in our communities, such as homework assistance, mentoring, career guidance and health programs – in a nurturing and secure environment.
Our National CORE and Hope through Housing teams rallied together for this cause. From construction to property management, development to resident services, individuals across our organizations united to champion the Building Bright Futures initiative. It’s a testament to our shared commitment to our mission and the communities we serve.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, volunteered and supported this event. Given the tight window post-Gala, your dedication and swift action made this tournament an outstanding success.
