When challenges arise, Property Management Regional Director Monique Felix doesn’t wait to be called – she’s already there.
Known for her hands-on leadership and tireless commitment, Monique bridges professionalism with empathy, turning obstacles into opportunities while inspiring her team. For this stalwart commitment to leading with integrity, empathy and teamwork, Monique has received National CORE’s Best-in-Class employee award for the third quarter of 2025.
Monique’s leadership style is grounded in presence and action. She views residents as family and challenges each team member to treat them as they would their own loved ones.
Just a few months ago, one of our properties experienced an unexpected fire. Monique drove three hours out of her way to step in, allowing a co-worker to complete vital tax credit specialist training. In doing so, she ensured residents received the support they needed while protecting her team’s opportunity for growth and development.
“I take pride in being available to support my team and helping them grow,” Monique said. “The work we do is important and I want everyone to feel supported and confident in the difference they make.”
Providing consistent support requires a unique level of composure, which Monique demonstrates effortlessly. She openly shares her knowledge and experiences to broaden her team’s growth, and her adaptability in the face of challenges sets a strong example for everyone.
Whether guiding a new manager through their first week or stepping in during staff shortages, she shows up fully, present and engaged. Her leadership ensures every team member feels valued, heard and supported.
“Monique’s leadership is extraordinary,” said Anastasia Davis, regional property manager for National CORE. “She doesn’t just manage from a distance; she’s onsite, side by side with her team, making sure they feel valued and supported. She inspires confidence and motivates all of us to show up as our best selves.”
Congratulations, Monique!
