National CORE broke ground April 24 on Oak Park Senior Living, our first new construction of an affordable housing community outside California.
Located in Fort Myers, the community will provide 144 new apartment homes for seniors, ages 62 or better, who earn between 30% and 65% of the area median income (AMI). The community will offer 124 one-bedroom apartments and 20 two-bedroom apartments.
Robust community amenities include a community room, cybercafe, swimming pool, fitness room, community garden and pickleball court.
Oak Park is one of two new Florida developments in our pipeline, alongside Hawthorne Heights in Gainesville, nearly doubling our footprint in the state.
