National CORE celebrated the grand opening of Orchard View Gardens on March 12, marking our second successful collaboration with the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.

Located on the campus of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Buena Park, this beautiful new affordable housing community provides 66 apartments for seniors 62 and older, including 13 homes for seniors who have experienced homelessness.

Orchard View builds on the success of Santa Angelina, a 65-apartment senior affordable housing community in Placentia homes also developed on church land with the Episcopal Diocese.

Local leaders joined the celebration, including Orange County Board of Supervisors Chair Doug Chaffee, Orange County Housing Finance Trust Chair Katrina Foley, Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles Bishop John Harvey Taylor, St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church Rector Cindy Voien, Episcopal Communities & Services Director of Housing & Business Development Michael Bell, Buena Park Mayor Joyce Ahn, OC Health Care Agency Assistant Deputy Director Diane Holley, National CORE President Mike Ruane, National CORE Chief Development Officer Alexa Washburn and Hope through Housing Executive Director Alyssa Cotter.

Congratulations to our talented construction and development teams on creating another outstanding community!
