As National CORE continues to evolve and expand, so do the needs of our organization. To better support our growing portfolio and the increasing complexity of our operations, the Accounting Division is restructuring, bringing in new expertise and leadership to enhance financial operations and efficiency.
We are thrilled to welcome Sonny Kim as National CORE’s new vice president, controller. Sonny brings over 20 years of experience across various real estate sectors, including construction, public accounting, and fund administration. A UCLA graduate, Sonny is excited to contribute to National CORE’s mission and help strengthen our financial strategy as we continue to grow. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing in his free time and lives in Fullerton with his wife and two children.
We are also excited to announce the promotion of Carmen Lok to assistant vice president of accounting. Carmen joined National CORE in February 2024 as assistant controller and has played a key role in strengthening financial processes and reporting. With over 15 years of experience in property management and fund investment accounting within the real estate industry, Carmen brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. She holds a business administration degree with a concentration in accounting from Cal Poly Pomona.
