George Huang’s daily battleground lies in the cluttered rows and columns of spreadsheets, maps and hundreds of other seemingly small details essential to National CORE’s developments. His accomplishments, however, loom large in the lives of our residents and the broader community.

Here are just a few:

  • Nine bus shades along Waterman Avenue to benefit residents of Arrowhead Grove
  • Well stocked computer labs for Sunset Heights, Mountainview, River Canyon and Citrus Grove
  • Free bus passes for residents of Las Dahlias

“I care about the practicality of a property,” George said. “I care about how residents use the space and if it makes life easier for them.”

This unwavering commitment to our mission and the foundation he helps build for our residents and employees earned George the I Am Hope award for the second quarter of 2024.

As an acquisitions analyst, George works closely with construction and architects to ensure that proposed properties are up to code and enrich their surrounding communities. Throughout his 12 years with National CORE, he has found creative ways to support amenities that serve our residents and their neighborhoods.

“This is a team effort,” George said. “The job can be painful at times, but my team are some of the best people I’ve ever had the chance to work with. We support each other and care about each other.”

George works closely with Lesley Hampton, senior vice president of project development, who said he contributes greatly to National CORE’s mission.

“George brings integrity, commitment and generosity with his time and energy to every task,” Lesley said. “He is always interested in exploring new ideas and processes. He has an insightful and practical impact on what we do at National CORE.”

Thank you, George, for your dedication to our residents!
