June was filled with opportunities to connect as we celebrated Pride Month and honored Juneteenth.
The Spectrum affinity group and DEI director Marissiko Wheaton-Greer hosted an enriching safe zone training facilitated by educator Dr. Sharon Chia Claros where participants learned practical strategies to create inclusive environments for LGBTQIA+ individuals that we work with and serve. The group also arranged a fabulous night at Hamburger Mary’s for Drag Queen Bingo!
In honor of Juneteenth, the Founder’s Room turned into a hub for activities as a series of educational short films were screened while attendees ate delicious peach cobbler, pecan pie and sweet potato pie.
