Yana de Leon Recinto loves numbers, but most of all, she loves people. As a dedicated staff accountant at National CORE, Yana found the perfect way to merge her passions for community service and financial management. “I wanted to do something that gives back to the community,” she said.

Though Yana spends her workdays at the corporate office, her impact reaches far beyond those walls. She works closely with property managers to ensure that residents’ financial records are accurate and up-to-date, handling eight properties, including Dumosa Senior Village, Vista de La Sierra, Tres Lomas and Daycreek Senior Villas, with more on the horizon.

Her passion for community, positive attitude and adaptability earned Yana the Spirit and Enthusiasm Award for the first quarter of 2024. “I love being part of this team because we all help each other,” Yana shared. “When I first started, everyone was answering my questions and showing me what I needed to do. Now, being here for almost two years, I want to do the same for others.”

Yana’s responsibilities include resolving billing issues within Yardi and ensuring every bill is paid, preventing complications that could affect our residents. She collaborates closely with fellow staff accountant Sheridan Solis, who has been a constant source of support and training. “She brings a lot of brightness to our area,” Sheridan said. “If she isn’t asking any questions, then I get worried.”

Yana’s essential role at National CORE and Hope through Housing highlights our commitment to residents, working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep them healthy and housed. Congratulations, Yana, for your outstanding contributions and the positive energy you bring to our team!
